If pins/brooches with a lady's first initial were popular in the 1950s, did youths/young ladies also have certain garments with their initial sewn on (e.g.; cardigan, light jackets, etc.)?

Was that really a thing? (Putting together a historically accurate Halloween costume.)

I don't believe so, but I do know that for a time they had "boob windows". Gotta be historically accurate, right?
