I'm pretty sure I'm missing something because I don't see any geographical context clues in the picture.

I was too drunk to be able to differentiate between the Blackhawks and Bruins, apparently.

Oh. They're hockey teams. How could I have missed something that permeates our culture so dramatically.

So you are commenting, and trying to be sarcastic, about something you know nothing about?

The Stanley Cup is named after Frederick Stanley, 16th Earl of Derby, who was from the UK. He was appointed Governor General of Canada, whereby he developed an appreciation for Canada. The hockey team is from Chicago, as has been noted. So that's three continents involved, geographically.

Quote from Wiki:

Quote:
This now famous cup bears Derby's name as tribute to his encouragement and love of outdoor life and sport in Canada.

The only part of the photo that can't be connected is the music angle. Edit: Now I see what Pet Sounds did there. Well played.

Lord Stanley

^^ Probably going to be my next avatar, just so I don't have to explain it later.

I put two and two together with you liking ****ty music and Boston being a ****ty band, but I guess that this discussion was more along the lines of five.

You judging other music as ****ty? That's rich.
