Yes. It's about instruments people make to be able to create microtonal music.

Or you could just bend or slur to get those same notes. Listen to the master.

I'm aware. It's pretty difficult to land on a bend though, especially with chords.

Not at all. Just takes technique.

Frownland 10-06-2016 03:42 PM

Therefore it's not difficult? **** outta here.

A microtonal neck would just be too cool, especially if I wanted to play something that wasn't dull new agey bull****.

And there are home many different techniques? Why learn one there is no reason to learn when you can just get a microtonal kneck and put more time into mastering the other techniques.

I mean, I don't think it's pointless to learn the technique but I also don't think that the existence of that technique takes away from how badass that guitar is.

Ya but then you'd be locked into those notes. Bending and slurring allows you to dictate the notes instead of the fretboard doing it for you. That's probably the best thing I took away from my years of burying myself in Shawn's stuff. I'll bend and slur half and whole steps but more often that not I'll slip in some microtones along the way.

Why am I discussing guitar techniques with you anyway?
