I didn't get it at first either, but I think he means that being a "model" or being called one is a turn off for him. Maybe he thinks they're high maintenance, or cause they act aloof, or for whatever his reason.

It's a personal thing, i personally try to repress my vanity not glorify it and they make a living doing that so it's a turn off for me.

it's a minor turn off though, i could get over it if i liked the girl.
