I've always used this program but they're both probably fine. Comic Rack used to be the top Google search for "comic book reader" so I used that cause I was too lazy to compare them.

Oh yeah though I keep forgetting about this site that has all it's comics readable in your browser. It'll save you on hard drive space if you're not a weirdo like me who wants to collect all the comics and have them for forever.

Thanks. The "in-browser" site works fine for me. I don't need to feel like I "own it" until I find something I really love, at which points I'd prefer a printed volume.

Those Deadpool comics look kinda new-ish? I checked out what was labeled as volume 1, but it looked pretty 90's or 2000's-ish in the way it was colorized. I guess Deadpool isn't that old a character?

Deadpool originated in the early 90s. That series is from 1997 so the art was definitely of the time period, which is one of my least favorite comic art periods. It's like they went so far in the other direction from grim and gritty early/mid-90s art that they went too far and ended up with lame, cartoonish designs and garish coloring. I put up with it in that series though cause it's... fine, and the story is so good that it would be petty to hold the art against it.

Definitely not great artwork, but story comes first.

I'm not as into this kind of thing as you are, but man, I still remember a lot of 90's super hero stuff that was really tasteless. I remember reading some of those Lobo comics back in the 90's... pointless, tastelss, "grimdark" violence and no story to speak of. And garish artwork. Not to mention that Rob Liefeld actually earned a lot of money back in the 90's... what the **** was anyone thinking?

To be fair though, good things were of course made too in the 90's.

Never read any Lobo comics but from what I understand that was the point. He was supposed to be a satire of that era. I have love for Liefeld though. He's awful in just about every respect (though he does admittedly have an eye for making a panel pop) but it's so much fun playing "find the feet" and looking for every single thing possible you can make fun of that he somehow ends up being one of your favorite artists for all the wrong reasons. Have you seen this? It's one of the best things on the internet.

I've found that it's a lot easier to find the feet than find the eyes. Rob Liefeld doesn't draw eyes, just flesh-colored triangles or whatever, and on the odd occasion he does they have no pupils. I don't know why this isn't more of a thing but I guess it's just because he draws more feet and they always look retarded so it's more noticeable.
