Why are females from Glasgow fat?!

I've never heard that stereotype before

Is it due to comfort eating because of where they live?

How, when we've been spelling those words correctly for centuries?
Comparatively, your nation is still in it's diapers.
Come back when you've learnt to spell correctly, or when you get a culture.
Whatever comes first.

This is off topic, but I have to say David I'm cool with all the differences in spelling and usage between British and American English with the exception of the word "whilst". It just gets under my skin when I read it.
