But regardless of how many people tell you you're beautiful, it's still dependent on you believing it for yourself. It's not so much what they are or aren't saying, it's more what you think about yourself. You shouldn't have your self confidence relying on what people are saying about you.

You also don't need to react to compliments. A compulsory need to react to compliments often leads to compulsory decisions based on them as a way to reciprocate. You can answer a compliment with a smile and simply walk away.

If you've been hurt by reciprocating to praise, you should be careful, because, as you know, a lot of guys will just say things to stroke the ego as a way to get... um... jiggy with it?

I understand what you mean, though. I don't rely on their compliments as much as I had wanted to trust they meant what they said. "You're beautiful" always leads to them saying something more meaningful.

Well, just to provide you a little insight from this side of the fence, a guy who up and says "you're beautiful" and you barely know him... He's spinning a line.

Someone who's interested in YOU is going to comment on deeper things than what you look like. You'll have more of a connection than a physical one.
I mean... that applies if you're looking for something meaningful.
Otherwise, looks is all it takes if you're just trying to score.

If anyone says that I'm OK looking then what's not to like about that? Compliments are food for the ego and soul. do you know how many times I see certain women and I just want to go up to them and tell them that they are pretty? Not for any other purpose than just to say that they are good looking but alas they would probably think you were some sort of sex creep

That's why I do comment in the members gallery a lot. I like giving compliments and it doesn't mean I'm on the make or anything.
