m/f??

i got a problem, i'm not sure it's really a problem and i dunno if it's something i should care about or if it's something you guys care about...
i should go straight to the subject...i know it's just a stupid thread of mine, just like the email one  yep, that was me
anyways..i just wanted to ask you if you care or not about knowing if the people we're talking to are boys or girls (men/ women)?

P.S: if you're posting, could you tell your sex too? haha that would be nice :D
by the way, i'm a girl :wavey:

MUSE girl 01-07-2005 02:45 PM

ok im a girl, obviously being muse girl and all. but i do sometimes wonder. about who im talking to that is!

camarochick71 01-07-2005 03:30 PM

To me it really doesn't matter, I don't think I would like someone more if they were male or female.

But I am a female..........all woman here!!!!!!!!! :p:

ArtistInTheAmbulance 01-07-2005 03:33 PM

I dont worry in the least, but its funny when a guy gets called "dudette" or somethin...
And im a girl by the way. We need some guys to post in here.

MUSE girl 01-07-2005 03:36 PM

yeah come on guys, us girls are getting lonely! lol!

jibber 01-07-2005 08:18 PM

yeah, almost everyone has mistaken me for a guy at some point or another when they first join, it's actually pretty amusing because usually i'm not even the first one to correct them.

jesus 01-07-2005 08:43 PM

^that gets sortof annoying sometimes, especially since i've mentioned several times that I am a girl.

franscar 01-07-2005 09:07 PM

haha, no offence taken, but I'm interested to hear what a girl "sounds" like.

Pimp_racer 01-08-2005 05:48 PM

i know especially over the computer does ur computer like read the threads out loud to u?

franscar 01-08-2005 06:00 PM

I always read peoples posts as if the author is talking to me, and if I don't know the gender of the person writing, then it's generally a male voice.

Sorry Jib, but you used to sound like the guy who served me a hot dog and fries at a baseball match in Toronto because that was the only Canadian accent I could remember. Now you sound like a lady in my mind though, which is good.

hahahaha, well I have to say I've never heard that one before. While we're on the topic, I don't have a candian accent (although If I'm ever in the US it's fun to pretend I do, and to tell people I live in an igloo, have a pet beaver, play hockey, etc.), nor do I say "eh" at the end of every sentence.

covle 01-09-2005 07:20 AM

try the australian steriotype. ever seen steve irwin? well in melbourne, especially the cbd, we all wear khakis and love to say crikey. and bloody oath i am dinki die about this. fair dinkum. and i used to ride a kangaroo to school, which was in a tin shed where we learned about dangerous animals like snakes and cuddly koalas.
and jib, forgert the "eh" the best things any canadian has ever said to me is "soccerball". my friend has family here from your fine nation and they say it about 100 times a day now.
australian:soccabawll
canadian :sock-kerr-balll
your accent, similar to the us in some ways, really loves r. australiansm i have recently noticed and when talking to the exchange people that have stayed here dont really say r. you say carr and we say cah basically (for the word car).
whats an alcohol?
im a guy and i think generally you can get a fair idea of a persons sex by seeing what they say. and jib your always debating or sarcastically ridiculing someone else with the likes of thrice frost alejo or myself at times too etc etc so i guess people assume your as closed minded and arrogant just like us. therefore, you must be a guy. which, evidently, you are not.

Molasses 01-09-2005 09:22 AM

I like to hear a proud Australian. cARstle and ARSE and cARn't and fARk, I love it. soccerball is more like sowrckabawrl is you ask me haha.

haha, this is why i'd never put a pic up in the member picture gallery, then it would stop people thinking up hilarious images of me assuming i'm a guy. Yeah aussie accents are great to immitate, and it's fun to play up steriotypes when I go to another country. Growing up I went to school with mostly americans, and only one other kid in my class was canadian, which we took full advantage of. We went together for a country studies project in the third grade (just a little two day project with a presentation). It was a lot of fun telling the rest of the class about how back in canada we rode dogsleds to school, and how we'd go swimming whenever the weather got to be above the freezing level because it was such a rare occurence that we'd want to take advantage of it. And of course hockey was a mandatory subject in school, along with seal hunting. Then we handed out beef jerkey, told everyone it was Moose, and that it was a delicacy in Canada. The teacher wasn't all that impressed, he never did have a good sense of humour.

Sweet Jane 01-10-2005 06:45 AM

What kind of accent do you have then?

Mine is very Ozzy Osbourne, with not quite as bad a stutter.

MUSE girl 01-11-2005 01:26 PM

i have a very english accent......

Molasses 01-11-2005 01:40 PM

I Always wonder why Australians like Nicole Kidman and Elle Mcpherson sound really unAustralian... does anyone else think this? They kinda sound english... or maybe Australia is just a roughed up version of the english accent and famous people don't talk roughed-up english.

Ozzy is Birmingham via LA, forgot his roots. I bet he doesn't remember the old Bull Ring. Mines Black Country with a hint of Worcester.

To be fair I bet Ozzy doesn't remember last week, let alone the old Bull Ring.

Man, there's about three people on this entire forum who have any idea what the hell we're talking about. The old Bull Ring was an awful, horrible place from my youth. The new Bull Ring is an awful, horrible place from my current, but only because I used to work there.

IamAlejo 01-11-2005 05:25 PM

I'm a grown ass man....(obvious chappelle show line)....But yes, a man. Seems like the guys are starting to take over the thread.

anti_poptart_chik 01-11-2005 10:53 PM

I'm not sure if I really have a distinctive accent, I don't have a "Canadian" accent, don't say "aboot" instead of about or anything like that. The best accents here in Canada are by far the newfie accents, if anyone's been to newfoundland they know what I'm talking about.
