Perhaps one of the most overrated pieces of classic literarure. I think people like it because the imagery is so graphic in a very stream of consciousness sort of way, but if it's any concilation I hated it too.

Yeah I mean the stream of conscious writing is interesting, but it's nothing I haven't already read before. I think that may be just it though, I've read most of things that came after it, whereas for a lot of people it was the first of it's kind (at least that became popular, although I am speculating a bit). I mean I loved Junky, but this was just... blah. I'm happy I got Killing Yourself To Live because it's something new to read.

Also to nonsubmissivewife, Mexican coke is the only kind I can drink without breaking out with zits. I'm positive it has something to do with the fact that it's cane sugar rather than corn syrup which almost all soda companies use because it's cheaper.

If you like Dr. Pepper, you should try Dublin Dr. Pepper. It is also made with cane sugar and no corn syrup. After drinking that and Mexican coke, and can't even sip the other anymore without feeling all icky and gross inside.

I've been to Dublin Texas not once but twice to get Dr. Pepper. We have about 5 flats left.

I seriously couldn't cope if they took Dr Pepper away from me. At the very least i'd be writing a ton of angry letters.
