Why Zune owners get so upset when you call their Zunes Ipods.

I meant with new zunes. I guess i didn't make that clear. It didn't say refurbished on it so im not positive thats the problem though of course, ill send it in to get a new battery before i try nething else. My old player, a sandisk sansa, had such great battery life i could go almost a week without charging it. doubtless that was a new battery. Anyway, hopefully this made my question a little clearer so i dont look like a dumbass.

I have no idea about whether or not it's common in Zunes. It could well be a sign that there's a loose connection elsewhere in it which is creating high resistance or a circuit when it's meant to be off which is draining the battery, rather than it being a dodgy battery itself. I'd have thought that as long as you got it from a reputable retailer they'd be required to state that a product you're buying is refurbished before purchase, so you may well have just gotten a faulty product and you'll need to claim on the manufacturers warranty.

When someone calls my zune an ipod. I correct them and tell them about the differences but it doesn't upset me.

The only thing I really hate about zune are the official earbuds that come with it. I have had to replace them so many times. I learned to just leave them alone and buy different earbuds

I love those earbuds.

Now perhaps I may have been a little quick to bring up the idea of locking this thread and this is my first official day as a moderator so there will be some bumps like this along the way until I get fully accustomed to the job itself.

The threat of a lockdown was not just based at you Dim Mak, but anyone who wants to start a bitch fest over who's mp3 player is better. I did not mean to make you feel like that comment was directly related to you (perhaps I should have worded it better) and I apologize if I offended you. This thread has potential to turn into a decent debate over the pros and cons of certain mp3 players.

you haven't had problems with them? majority of the time the cord starts to warp and I always lose sound in one of them, I had to replace them every 4 months or so it's ridiculous.
