Does anybody know of any full-fledged graphics programs (like Adobe Photoshop or FireWorks) that are free? The closest that I could find was GIMP, which is pretty impressive for freeware.

Gimp is the most powerful freeware raster graphics editor. Another good contender is PhotoFiltre.

For vector, try Inkscape.

I just got an iPod and have found that Media Monkey is much better and faster when it comes to loading songs and syncing files. I'd prefer to keep using MM rather than iTunes, however I was hoping to be able to scrobble my plays on my iPod to last.fm, and I read that this is possible with some stand-alone programs.

I downloaded QTScrobbler and I can't seem to get it to work. I checked around on some forums and found that supposedly newer iPods can be buggy with this program, so that may be why it's not working. Either that, or I'm just doing something wrong still.

Can someone familiar with this help me out to see if I'm doing something wrong, or maybe suggest a different program to use? I'm not going to die if I can't scrobble my tunes, but it sure would be nice.

Thanks in advance!

have you considered foobar? it's quite good at syncing with new ios devices, and it lets you scrobble plays...

I have tried foobar before, not for attempting to scrobble my iPod plays but just as a general music player. I found MM to be a little more user friendly.

If foobar allows a way to scrobble iPod plays I'll definitely look into though.

Edit: Ok, I got QTScrobbler to pull my info off the iPod...yay! Now I can't get it to submit and I'm fairly certain it's because I don't have the proxy information filled in correctly. I'm not technically savvy enough to even know where to find that information. Help!!

Re-edit: Nevermind! I downloaded LastPod and it was so much easier to figure out! Worked like a charm.

Default Playing songs on MB

I've been using an IMAC desktop for nearly a year, although I'm more comfortable on a PC. Anyway, the MAC is what I use most of the time. As I browse threads on MB, I see that many users are able to post/link to videos on You Tube. I don't know how that process works and would like to get clued in. Another question, is there a way to play tunes on MB by simply going through ITunes?

Thanks

GRS

I'm not sure what you mean by "play tunes on MB." If you have your music on iTunes, I would just listen to it there.
