Windows 7 is everything vista should have been.
It's faster and more reliable.

No shit. So no problems with driver support? 64 or 32 bit?

Installed Windows 7 64-bit professional here a while ago No problem at all with anything.

Not as far as I'm aware. A couple of computer geeks at work have windows 7 already and they swear it's faster than XP.

Point is...it's a waste of time getting vista cos it's slower than XP and less reliable with compatability issues. Vista is a step backwards IMO.
7 is the next step up. And if it's better than XP...

When I make a spelling mistake and press backspace my Firefox goes back a page and I lose what I'm writing, it never used to do this, and it's really pissing me off. Help me ?

In your URL form (The place where you type your web addresses) type:
  1. about:config
  2. Press OK on the warning
  3. In the filter form near the top, type: browser.backspace_action
  4. Double-click the preference and type 2 in the value field, then press OK.
That will unmap the backspace key from the back button, and you won't have that problem anymore.
