Im on Vista. I know the OS itself can use alot of memory but 2Gb should be enough just to use Skype?

Are you running 64-bit Vista or 32-bit? If you're on 32-bit then your computer should be OK to run Vista, but if you're 64-bit then that would definitely be hogging up your memory. You may want to try and find a PC Optimizer to help clean up your registry and help you optimize your RAM. I've been running Uniblue SpeedUpMyPC for about a month now and it's been working really well.

Still need help guys, any suggestions at all are welcome.

Sigh just bought a webcam and it doesn't appear to work, I installed it but it still says that no webcam is detected. And when the hardware wizard comes up it says "The file usbccgp.sys on Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 2 is needed type the path type the path where the file is located and then click OK"
Any ideas?

When you turn it on, do any of the indicator lights on the computer blink on and off?

Can you get to the BIOS?

How old is the computer?

The file is located here:

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS

Type that where it asks.

It comes up the first start up and allows me to go into f2&f12 then I could sit in them for as long as I wanted. The laptop isn't even a year old yet, it's about 9 months old.

Thanks but now it says "The file kstvtune.ax on Widows XP Home Edition Service Pack 2 CD is needed.
Type the path where the file is located, and then click OK.

How do I extract mp3s from .rar files on a mac? I know it comes with an archiver tool, but I've only managed to unzip .zip files with it.

Let me google that for you

Go to your boot menu (f12 I'm assuming) and try to boot in safe mode.
If you can do that, re-start the computer, go back to the boot menu, choose "last known good configuration" and try to boot normally.
If it doesn't work, go back to the boot menu, boot back into safe mode and find out when your last system restore point was created.
If you don't know how, google it.
Once you find out... and hopefully there's a recent one, weigh the pros and cons of losing whatever you put on your computer between the time of the restore point and now, and make your decision.
If yes, go ahead and restore your computer to an earlier time (the last restore point, provided it's recent enough to not do much damage).
If no, come back here and ask me pretty please and I'll see about doing some research.

Ok, I'm starting to get the feeling that either your computer isn't updated or your webcam software isn't updated.
Go to the start menu and right click My Computer, go to Properties, and in the General tab... under System: tell me which service pack it says. 1, 2 or 3.

In boot menu it says:

OR
5. SATA HDD: Hitachi HTS545050B9A
