that's kinda drastic isn't it? Never done a restore before, wouldnt know how to start it. I usually just totally wipe and start over if the system gets to bad which I usually do like Once a year.

All a restore does is literally restore your computer to a time when it was working perfectly. In your case, before the CD drive turned up. Go to Start Menu > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore. Once in system restore you will be given the option to choose what date you want your computer restored to. |
