I agree that long nails are awful. Painted nails on their own are not particularly attractive, but it can be alright if it's used as part of a dress up so that f.ex the nails become almost an accessory to a dress or a certain look.

How long can nails be before they become ugly? As in, i'm not really sure what you mean by LONG nails.

I can't understand girls growing their nails. It just seems so gross and unpractical. I've always had short nails. If they were any longer I wouldn't be able to play guitar/bass/piano.

I rarely paint them either because when it starts to chip away it just looks rank.

So yeah, agreement on the long nails/ painted nails.

I think someone already asked the question, but how long is too long for nails to be? Mine are usually a little longer, but they are natural and I try to keep them manicured, though I rarely paint them because like Lat said, when it starts to chip it just looks tacky and its more trouble than it's worth. But mine aren't so long that they impede my ability to type or do things with my hands. Are we talking about crazy Shenaynay nails or what?

There was a time when my nails (fingers and toes) were painted black 100% of the time. It looked completely terrible. I don't know what i was thinking! Now I only paint my nails if its for something special (like homecoming dress up days for instance), and i take it off after said event. I think it makes hands look even funnier than usual.



Also, short shorts on women (or men, really) who just don't have the legs (which would be mee!) is just....no. Especially somewhere where everyone sits down for long periods of time (such as school) where ur legs are just gonna bulge out and stick to the chair and be disgusting. yucky.

Really any extra length is pretty unappealing to me but generally the longer they are the less attractive I find them.
