Wasn't that an 80's fashion?
Girls with big ponytails sticking straight up, poofed out bangs that looked like someone planted a stick of dynamite in it and set it off, pink everything, stonewashed jacket, white shorts and HUGE SOCKS that could provide enough material to clothe at least 4 homeless children in Nigeria.

I want to punch that mental image in the face.

Or was America the only place ridiculous enough to adopt that as a hair fashion?

My brother used to have one of those when he was a kid.

I'm not gonna lie, I always found that look to be kinda hot in a weird 80s way.

When I was a kid, even I hated those stupid rat tails.
To me, what it signified was the kid giving everyone behind him permission to use it as something to grab while you hauled off and kicked him straight in the ass.

those rat tails are common between travellers here. very common. its mostly how you can tell who is travellers or not :). this doesnt indicate i have something against travellers btw, for the people of the forum who are travellers.

Do you mean tourists?
If so, I can't imagine ever seeing a tourist with a rat tail in the 21'st century.
You sure we're talking about the same thing here?

So what criteria must a person satisfy in order to become an official Gypsy?
Just wondering, as it will help me to identify why rat tails are still in existence, and who to kill.

basically Gypsies here have a mixed accent, its like a mix of scottish, english, irish & welsh, hence the traveller name. though many dont move atall there accent is picked up from living in a camp, a gypsy camp, which is basically a large area with caravans, as thats what they stay in it would look like a squashed up craig tara, or berwick. they dont leave often. but most gypsys dont get registered when born (here) so they basically can do anything they want. like drive white vans illegally, commit crimes. they mostly wear checked shirts, adidas trakkies, and a pair of rockport boots with a rat tail hairdo, or a mullet, a curly mullet. that is a true description btw, am no being wide
