I now have a sleeping pad, so, already having a sleeping bag and a tent I shall wait till my next day off and set it all up in the backyard and see how it does. Kinda stoked for Saturday night.
It sounds like a long time coming for you. I'm sure you'll enjoy yourself.

That sounded dirty.

Recently I had an idea to explore the market and technology of “sleep headphones.” As my readers know well, the ambient segment of my archive comprises over 60,000 ambient tracks from nearly 5,000 artists’ discographies. I wanted a better solution to enjoy them while I rest.

I researched and invested in an affordable solution and surveyed my library of sleep-friendly recordings.

Fellow sleep-listeners can explore the details on my member journal.

This book

and this one since I've somehow never read it in full:

A portable roll-y back massager thing with a long handle that I'm going to use at work since I am on my feet bending every which way all day

And this stupid dress which I don't even like very much but I unfortunately needed something cheap and last-minute for my boss/friend's wedding reception party this weekend:

It just needs something. going to have to pile on the whimsical accessories I guess.

Okay so having a tent, sleeping pad, and sleeping bag is there any other necessity to start camping that you don't view as optional?

A flashlight/lantern (or both) and a pocket knife are necessities. Are you doing a backpacking type deal? A chair, cooler, speaker, and portable stove are good but too much if you have to carry them to the site.

I second this. Specifically a Swiss army knife is useful. Something to cook is nice if you can manage, you have those little gas hobs that you just click on to a tiny gas tank, they're light.

Some good boots and extra socks are necessities if you're going into deep woods for lengths of time. Also some mace for Yogi and Boo Boo.

If you're back yarding it, then just bring some sandwiches.

Add a folding shovel, toilet paper, and beer.

Already have a headlamp but I do need a knife. And I'm not planning on backpacking to start off with but it is the eventual goal.
