That's why he's controversial.

Who's in the current lineup sans Fripp?

Frownland 01-21-2019 12:37 PM

Tony Levin (bass, Chapman stick) and Mel Collins (flute, sax, mellotron) are the only other KC members coming along. The other performers are Pat Mastelotto, Gavin Harrison, Jakko Jakszyk, Bill Rieflin, and Jeremy Stacey. I'm usually cautious about seeing artists with a limited amount of original members, but (1) I have faith in Fripp when it comes to selecting touring members and (2) KING CRIMSSSSSOOOOOONNNNN

windsock 01-21-2019 12:59 PM

Levin's pretty dope tbh

Frownland 01-30-2019 08:01 PM

Got a new phone battery and my phone is invincible now.

Mastelotto has been in KC for 25 years.

Frownland 01-31-2019 04:02 AM

They're actually all in KC now that I think about it.

Damn you. Know my brain will force me to do an internet search for people who have survived falling/jumping from an airplane with out a parachute.

The Batlord 02-01-2019 11:06 AM

Why would Frown not wear a parachute?

So excited by the arrival of the latest set of enamel pins for the new vintage ultrasuede blazer addition to my wardrobe! Here they are - celebrating Moondog and Boards of Canada!

https://i.imgur.com/TR7LdHtl.jpg

[Edit] I realized a week later that I'd omitted a blazer with another pin, so here's an updated shot.

https://i.imgur.com/nndmKHHl.jpg

For anyone curious, here's the key from left to right:

- The Orb - Live '93
- Tom Waits
- The KLF Pyramid Blaster
- Deutsche Grammophon AvantGarde sublabel logo
- Germany's Brain Records logo
- Moondog's Snaketime Series 1956 LP cover
- The Maxell "Blown Away Guy" advert
- Silver Apples s/t 1968 LP cover
- Boards of Canada artist logo
- Silver Turntable (for vinyl pride)
- Voyager Golden Record exclusive pin from the limited edition numbered deluxe vinyl box set of which I received the 18th copy shipped worldwide.

I have so much fun with these!

Also got Achebe's No Longer at Ease, Woolf's The Waves, and Benjamin Franklin's autobiography.

innerspaceboy 04-21-2019 02:34 PM

Today I said to myself, "You know what this house needs? More James Joyce."

Just printed and framed with a $2 vintage ornamental frame. I think it looks great on the Philco.

And here's an updated shot of the entire lapel line-up. (I have too much fun with these!) Can you identify all the artists and record labels represented?

You're the second person to make that joke... and I just finally got it.

Christ, I hope people don't make that mistake.

It's a gift and they're out of stock right now. If I could get the Bern to maybe scribble that... **** yes.

The Batlord 04-29-2019 05:51 PM

Wait you don't have one? And who's "the Bern"? I'm confused.

vinyl collector 04-30-2019 06:40 AM

The Beatles Let It Be box with book at second hand (the picture is from the net).

It's a gift I bought for someone who's a fan.

The Bern = Jon Bernthal

If I could get him to scribble "One shot, one kill per hole" on it that'd make the gift even better.

Hey, it was your idea. Buttmunch.
