Today I've added a handsome centerpiece to my mantel above my fireplace. While I own a few beautiful pocket watches I've not had a dedicated timepiece for my home, so I've acquired an antique William L. Gilbert Clock Company mantel clock from Bristol / Winsted CT manufactured in 1881. It is complete with its original key and pendulum and chimes elegantly on the hour.

A beautiful complement to my neo-Victorian decor!

I bought my friend $5 in taco's yesterday because he split his cheese burger with me when I couldn't get away for lunch.

Just had another bronze Beethoven bust cast for my snazzy new office at work to match the one I have in my listening room at home. (They make amazing headphone stands.)

Details over on my member journal here.

Nice! My best Beethoven find to date is the 80-LP 16-volume Beethoven Bicentennial Collection by Deutsche Grammophon (1972). I also managed to track down a copy of the companion book from the set - a beautiful leather bound oversize with hundreds of pages of the original sheet music, oil paintings, and the life story of Beethoven.

A real treasure for any music historian!

Cutting open your scrotum doesn't hurt as bad as you would expect.

Zhanteimi 06-24-2019 10:39 PM

Why not wet shave your scrotum? Less risky.

The Batlord 06-25-2019 03:16 AM

Put some Nair on those danglers.

grindy 06-25-2019 04:07 AM

Shaving pubic hair is dumb. I trim it a bit in the summer, though.

That's what I'm gonna stick to from now on.

Note the guards that come in the set.

grindy 06-25-2019 07:34 AM

Yeah, I've cut myself despite using the guards before.

Cuthbert 06-25-2019 03:33 PM

I don't think I've cut myself with guards on. Without guards I have though. Was not too bad but that's the price you pay for using clippers on places other than your head.
I got some new clippers recently. Wahl Senior Cordless, I zero gapped them and they are fantastic.

Sounds like a tabla and I already know imma have a lot of fun with this.

innerspaceboy 07-07-2019 10:18 AM

UPDATE: After carefully researching the history of this playset I determined that four pieces were missing from this lot.

I tracked down every one of the missing elements and reshot and updated the photo to show the 100% complete playset in all its splendor.

If you're going to do something, do it RIGHT! <3

(You know it's the 1975-6 edition and not a subsequent model because Oscar's trash can lid has a handle on it.)

I had the 1984 Playskool knock-off version when I was a kid, but this more authentic version sates my Jim Henson nostalgia.

What would Mark E Smith do if someone told him what to do because they thought it would be what Mark E. Smith would do?

Had a blast at my village's annual Gigantic Garage Sale event. I hit up 60 of the nearly 100 sales looking for a red Victorian style vintage arm chair small enough and at an adequate seat height for my new office at work.

Mission accomplished for $7.

I'll be sharing a photo album of the fully-decorated office once the final art piece arrives from England in the next two weeks.

Why don't you start eating beans? Beans are good and take all of two minutes to microwave. And they make you fart too!

The Batlord 07-13-2019 11:15 AM

But then you have to eat broccoli.

The Batlord 07-13-2019 11:31 AM

Or you can just eat beans like a non-steroid user.

The Batlord 07-13-2019 11:37 AM

Bro, pistachios are the truth though.

The Batlord 07-13-2019 11:41 AM

That's not a half bad idea, bro. Pistachios, cashews, peanuts, almonds. Throw some raisins and dates in there. Not bad at all.

The Batlord 07-13-2019 02:53 PM

That's not what the crystals want. Rub them on your anus to find the truth.

DwnWthVwls 07-13-2019 06:08 PM

Dont listen to Batlord. There is real pseudoscience behind crystals. He's just a hater.

Only kind of crystal Bat gives a **** about:

We just bought a 58" 4k TV D: I'm watching all the space docs

Frownland 07-13-2019 10:05 PM

Duuude, you don't remember the game that spawned a whole generation of Jguys?

The Batlord 07-14-2019 02:45 PM

Never played it. I guess it's a furry thing.
