Bumped it up to 1,000 words a day.
I think I just love writing dialogue and action. I can't even give anything but the slightest of ****s about raw exposition and bulky descriptive paragraphs about locations, items, and physical appearance. It always just feels like fluff, or "Look how good I can write!" wankery. All I want is to have characters interact with each other, so their actions can describe and define them. Talking, thinking, fighting, ****ing. That's what I love.
That doesn't mean that I don't like descriptions, though. It's just that I like to work them in organically with the action, in small bursts. I don't want to write that Suzy Waffle is six foot tall brunette wearing a blue sweater and jeans. I want to write that Suzy Waffle ripped the armpit of her sweater when she broke a groper's nose on the subway, and he spilled his coffee all over the back her jeans, so now she has to put up with her ass squishing every time she sits down until it either dries off or she can find a change.
