I know?

It's pretty much the most wanted thread now, if you're wondering.

People forever wander into the songwriting thread unaware that there is an introduction thread...or rules. Of course, most people as MB-old as *you* are probably find the rules within the first month after joining, not at the end of their first *year* (ha ha!). But, I still love ya!

I'm a little clueless, so what? =P

Love ya too. <3

consider the attention given to this thread....

http://www.musicbanter.com/lounge/45...-flatmate.html

this person only made 1 - ONE single post about music, and it was a copy and paste job for some favourite lyrics. no mention of why or anything of the sorts. just CTRL+C and then CTRL+V. then an obvioius 'look at me' thread, that still gets attention.

there's a thread for tech support. there's still one for introductions. while i freely admit to having trolled the thread i didn't really think it would be allowed to become three pages of trolls.

i understand mods want to be welcoming to noobs but noobs also have to be shown where the lines are. the idea of rules on the front page is laughably absurd. who reads them on joining? the vast majority of the rules are common sense and if you've signed up for any website in the past you've probably already read the exact same document a dozen times. is a spammer going to give a crap about the 'rules'? a noob that would become a worthwhile member?

I think when it comes down to it, the problem has nothing to do with greetings or rules, because only about 5% of thepeople who join Mb are good posters that plan on staying. The other 95% consists of spammers and people who only post their own songwriting(which is basically spam).

Not all of them are spammers or spamming songwriters, some of them just don't post at all, which I don't consider spam so much as useless

I think there is a major problem with people not wanting to start threads. If you like a band, start a freaking thread on it (unless it has already been made). I always look for new threads to post in.

k E nnyneverdied: In the Miley Cyrus thread in the pop section within the first page gunnels and mr.dave imply Big3 is a pedophile (or at least has a high chance of being a pedophile), in dirt mcgirt's "who's your favorite pedophile?" thread oojay calls Urban a pedophile. Neither are banned. However, earlier in the same thread I called Big3 a pedophile and was banned for it.
k E nnyneverdied: So either Big3 doesn't mind some people calling him a pedophile with me being the exception (favoritism) or its ok to imply Urban is a pedophile but not Big3, but now I'm curious if gunnels and mr.dave got warnings.
k E nnyneverdied: However, I doubt that the latter is the case because Big3 was joking with them about it just a page later.

So, what really happened guys?

lucifer_sam 10-30-2009 06:35 AM

lucifer_sam: why the **** is boo boo IMing Unfan?
lucifer_sam: i dunno, it looks like they're trying to evolve some conspiracy against the moderators to gain leverage on MB.
lucifer_sam: that is...moronic.
lucifer_sam: you're telling me.

you know what, he brings up an interesting point.

boo boo 10-30-2009 06:45 AM

Hahahahaha.

Eh, I have nothing against the moderators, I just think it's fair enough that Unfan gets a few answers to his questions.

Me and Unfan called it truce about a few weeks ago. We have been talking a lot now.

I'm not trying to argue for him to be unbanned, I'm just posting on his behalf because he still has a bone to pick with some of the mods. I don't mean to start a feud, I'm just doing the guy a favor.

Since he's banned and I'm no longer a mod, there's really no reason for us to be enemies anymore, we both got what we always wanted. :D
