Not everyone is an expert at reviews, at least people are making some of an effort to contribute to the music forums of this board.

I thought I'd post to kiss ass. No, actually I'm really impressed with this entire situation. Vegangelica, reading your last post I have to give you merit for having the balls to post your truth and viewpoint, I would have let it go long ago. But that's clearly not your style; you saw an injustice and went after it in one of the most respectful ways I've seen anyone go after anything. Glad your on my friends list. :wavey:

On the other hand, there wasn't a doubt in my mind while reading that post that right-track (who is very patient) would be provoked into using sarcasm again. I thought this because the respectful and well-written posts are always the most infuriating, or at least that is my experience. I've seen plenty people on these boards throwing a dabble of insult into those long and (mostly) respectful posts and getting... usually temper tantrums in return. Obviously it takes a lot to get Right-track on the wrong-track... and he's only human.

In no way am I saying there was insult in your post Vegangelica, but still it takes a strong person to react calmly, and with understanding for the other side. Right-track, you get major props from me for returning not only with respectfulness, but also with a good answer. I was totally impressed. I'm for sure sendin' you a friends request. Also, I'd like to say that if someone on this forum called me a child abuser (and I wasn't modding) I would have been mailing that motherfucker his shit back in a can. Excuse my language!

Urban, good points. I'd say more but I don't need to kiss your ass, you're already on my friends list. Anyway, I don't think there is anything I could put into the conflict that wasn't already said... I'm not even sure I 100% agree with anybody. =/ Just wanted to say that you three are great members, and I appreciate you guys making the site a place where conflict is solved with words and not lies, slander, or evil mod voodoo magic.

Thanks and keep it up,
--Adam.

That I admit.
Why? Because I've seen it all before and after 3 years of modding this site my patience with these IDIOTS (there's that word again) has worn pretty thin to say the least.
I've NEVER banned a member/idiot that didn't deserve it.

Vegangelica...what do you want me to do?
Reinstate The Unfan and let him continue disrupting the boards, harrassing members and mods alike?
Stop warning flamers and banning trolls?
Quit being blunt and rude toward people who don't deserve to be here and waste my time being nice to them?
Resign?

Hi Right-Track,
Thanks for your response. I *do* know how much you do for the site...I just want to make sure you realize that...and I know I don't see all the work it takes because much of it is invisible, but I still appreciate it. I realize how without all the work you and the other mods have done and continuously do for the site, that it would be overrun with people intent on trolling. I also see your many helpful posts to people, sharing music suggestions, etc.

The only thing I wish you would do is apologize to me for implying I'm an idiot and a moron, because it hurt my feelings a little and because I feel it is important to follow the MB rule of not putting people down personally. Actually verbalizing an apology may seem like a tiny thing, but to me it is meaningful, because then I will tell you I accept your apology fully and all will go back to how it was before between us. Except, well, now you do know me a little better, and you know that if there is ever any conflict between us that I'm open to talking things out.

I do accept the Unfan's banning...I understand that the many intentionally hurtful things he did outweigh the positive, and that he had many opportunities you and other moderators gave him to change his ways. If I see someone labeled as something ("idiot," etc.) I want to stand up (as I did in his case) and point out the more complicated reality...no one is "all bad" or "all good." I would stand up on your behalf if someone calls you a mean name, too.

It is true that I think rudeness and bluntness aren't helpful on MB, though I understand you would be angry with people wasting your time, because life is limited and time is precious. That's also my argument for trying to be polite...because in my experience any meanness shown to someone just ripples out...that person becomes angrier...takes it out on someone else, etc., on and on. Since life is short I try not to make people sad or angry. I apologize if my letters frustrated you, because I didn't intend them to, David.
