i'm pretty sexist about house hold things, and while i do them myself i would much rather be cookin or cleanin thank fixin fence, choppin wood, or changein my oil,...

then again, i do all of these things currently and own my own tractor,....but given a choice,....just leave me your dirty clothes and hand me a fryin pan

I can relate to this. I always feel weird when I tell people that I would be perfectly happy as a housewife or a stay at home mom, because it seems like people tend to look down on that or write the person off as submissive. But I think it's a defining part of my character to want to take care of those I love, and by taking care of them I mean cooking, cleaning, and putting their needs before mine. Obviously I don't think that all women should feel the same, but I also don't think it should be something that is looked down on.

My mother is a housewife, even with me out of the home, and I think she is a highly respectable woman.

maybe we really are sisters,..

i feel exactly the same way, and most of the time when i express this i get looks of disdain or confusion,....but i honestly believe no matter what i end up doing professionally, being a wife and mother will make me the most happy

im a firm believer that i can be a strong independent woman and june cleaver,....just with sexier aprons

until then, i'll just continue to mother my friends and whatever other wayward children come my way
