Happy MBirthday Pet_Sounds!

Four years is a long time, and as you were an innocent young man when you joined us, I was reminded of something I read years ago, written by a guy who joined the British Communist Party in the idealistic years before the Stalin show trials:-

"When I joined the CP I felt as if I were at last jumping into a refreshing stream of crystal-clear water. Now I feel as though I'm trying to climb out of a rancid open sewer."

I wonder to what extent this reflects your experience at MB?
