Bumping this because I've been helping a friend out who is studying performance arts and using chat roulette as an experimental medium. We've been going on with different signs telling people to do stuff (like 'Dance or GTFO'), wearing masks, playing music to people. It's actually really fun! We do see quite a lot of dicks but was very surprised when we held up a sign saying 'No Dicks Please' and the guy on camera said sorry and put it back in his pants.

That experiment sounds pretty interesting, what exactly is the purpose? If you can influence what people are doing on there?

It's just about using chat roulette as a performance medium... we're doing a whole lot of things like scripting the conversations and turning them into plays, research on audience perception, the changing views on what 'performance art' is, asking the question whether people are actually themselves online or whether they are 'performing.' Stuff like that. I don't really know the whole depth of it, she's studying performance arts and it's part of some assignment she has.

Tried it for the first time today.
The first thing I saw was a big penis. (Well, erect would be the better term I guess)
Then it disconnected and another chat starting.
And I saw another penis.
Then a guy unzipping his pants.
Then a few dozen normal looking people disconnecting because I'm not some hot woman.
Then I come across a normal person, but it was so incredibly awkward he disconnected.
Do I have terrible luck or is this normal for everybody?
