Just plug your phone into your computer and open the phone in windows explorer. Treat it just like any other device you connect like an external hard drive. Then open the phone and browse through to the things you want to get and copy and paste them (or drag and drop them) to where you want them on your computer.

If you're having probs playing videos recorded by your iPhone then do a search for converters that will change the video format.

There's no need to bother with iTunes, it a terrible piece of software.

This doesn't work, it will occupy memory in the iPod/iPhone but the file directory changes, making it impossible to navigate to using Apple's operating system.

But yes, iTunes is shit. foobar, WinAmp, and MediaMonkey all support iPod synchronization, I can't imagine why they wouldn't work for the iPhone.

You can still take off photos and video though, it won't let you in much further.
