Like how the english and scottish generally say they hate each other? haha.

Being completely honest with you, NZ isnt all that bad. Its just really rather boring. Its safe, nothing bad ever really happens (thank God) and its history is completely dull. Its okay for a holiday, and growing up there is fine until about 12, when you discover the world. Its just so isolated from everything, it feels like everyones living somewhere cool and you've been exhiled.

Exactly like that then haha. Scotland still sounds better

Yeah but a lot of NZ is largely unpopulated... especially the South Island. Scotland's population is actually much larger than New Zealand's!

But less people makes it a simpler life with more freedom to do whatever the **** you want to.

Very true. I love the unpopulated-ness of the South Island. Bliss.

I'm pretty keen on the swap too, tbh. You can come to Auckland and I'll go to wherever in the wonderful Scotland you are

I prefer the North, but I have a big soft spot for the South Island. I used to go camping around Nelson when I was little and I've got awesome memories of that

Aw really? I definitely prefer the South. Nelson is very cute! I went paragliding there in February! I also visited a few hippie-esque towns around that region and had the maddest times. I forget their names. I prefer it much further south though. Queenstown, Lake Tekapo, and Fox Glacier are all places I have fallen completely and irreversibly in love with.
