Things that you really want but can't afford, aren't a priority, or are unobtainable

Self explanatory. What are things you would really like to have but can't afford/find/obtain (at the moment). Please keep it to material things, no one cares that you can't buy true love.

As for me, I would really like one of these crotch rockets.

Burning Down 05-02-2010 05:04 PM

A new car! But I have a very nice car already and I certainly can't afford a new one.

someonecompletelyrandom 05-02-2010 05:11 PM

Be specific, Urban. Which one do you want?

Urban Hat€monger ? 05-02-2010 05:11 PM

One?

someonecompletelyrandom 05-02-2010 05:12 PM

I'm assuming you don't mean all on account of the second one to the left.

Urban Hat€monger ? 05-02-2010 05:13 PM

It's far too easy just to do the pretty ones.

someonecompletelyrandom 05-02-2010 05:16 PM

I guess it never hurt anybody to challenge themselves.

Betcha can't do em all in an hour.

Urban Hat€monger ? 05-02-2010 05:17 PM

I wouldn't want to :D

Alfred 05-02-2010 05:29 PM

I'd love one of these:

someonecompletelyrandom 05-02-2010 05:33 PM

I don't think they sell them anymore, in part to their ironic popularity as bank-robbing masks

Alfred 05-02-2010 05:53 PM

Haha, I want one more because I'm a fan of this band.

I want this:

"One million dollars."

someonecompletelyrandom 05-02-2010 06:04 PM

Vanilla, a million dollars isn't really worth that much any more.

A room with soundproof walls.

This. I want to be able to record freely in my own house.

Insane Guest 05-03-2010 03:50 PM

Without the ****ing neighbors complaining, damn I know.

mr dave 05-03-2010 04:09 PM

^soundproofing a room isn't really as expensive as it seems. it's IS still pricey but not completely out of reach with some decent budgeting action.

soundproofing and maintaining acoustic fidelity on the other hand...

the other trick to soundproofing - you NEED to do the door, the floor, and the ceiling too, otherwise you're wasting time and effort.

someonecompletelyrandom 05-03-2010 04:12 PM

Isn't there some kind of super high tech Active Noise Cancellation software out there...

I want to drive a BMW and look cool while driving, because i can't do that in a 5-door 1998 Opel Corsa :(

I'd also love my own house with sound-proof walls and a garage for my BMW.

Alfred 05-03-2010 05:22 PM

As far as music goes, I want a portable studio.

A cottage in the English countryside, where I live with Gerard Butler/Karl Urban/Jason Statham, complete with a huge, fluffy bed that we never leave except when we decide to move the naughty action to the kitchen/bathroom/yard/sofa.

TheCunningStunt 05-03-2010 05:39 PM

A new acoustic and a few of my favourite films to put in my DVD collection and rid it of a few old ones I bought when I didn't have a clue about films and are quite shit. I don't ask for much :(

Dude... I have one of those (Tascam 2448) that I don't use anymore. Only thing wrong with it is the headphone jack is a little messed up so you have to use the actual outputs.

If you agree to pay for shipping, we can negotiate a price.

I wish I had the time for one. The only people I really see on a day to day basis are people in my class (and some other engineers).

Likewise.
A social life is just not the focus right now with me. I think it helps me enjoy the time I spend at school though. Being social at school is never a chore because I'm not social enough outside of school for it to have worn on me at any point :D
