Yeah, I would say so! I used to watch his show sometimes when I was a kid.

I just looked this up, VocalsBass, and found that this story about Mr. Rogers is apparently just an urban legend. He was not in the military and never killed any person:

Unless all the biographical information that exists about him is wrong, Fred McFeely Rogers never served in the military in any capacity, let alone as a Marine sniper (or Navy Seal, as another version of this apocryphal story claims). Some cynical folks may be loathe to believe that the gentle, soft-spoken host of "Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood" was exactly what he seemed, but he was.

So, rest easy with happy memories of Mr. Rogers!

Yeah, I was about to say. I've heard a lot of things about a lot of people but never that Mr. Rogers was in 'nam. Not to mention he was born in 1928, so at the height of the war he'd have been 40.

I am so relieved to know that! Thank You, thats a funked up rumor, atleast I wont feel so paranoid now whenever I hear him say "Hello Neighbor", and because that was the only reason I ever had to watched him on TV, Im almost sad about it now. lol...I could actually picture him crawling through the tunnels in vietnam saying "Hello Neighbor", right before he killed them.

That is a rather funny image... Mr. Rogers crawling through the tunnels in Vietnam saying "Hello Neighbor" to people right before he kills them!

Heh heh. There should be a humorous horror movie with that scene in it! :)

a terrified Vietcong soldier walking through a dark tunnel with only some candles as light, hearing the echoed sounds of Mr. Rogers' voice...
"It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood, a beautiful day in the neighborhood...a beautiful day for a neighbor..."

The knife is wrenched quickly through the Vietcong's back, puncturing through his stomach as Mr. Rogers cups his hand over his mouth to quiet the noise, expertly snapping his neck in the process.

I hate clowns and they scare the **** out of me.

At the cafe I used to work at, the chef would make these cute little pink pig cupcakes. The sold out every day. One day he decided to make clown cupcakes. Not one person bought one.
