I think I've become a bit of a bastard.
When I first joined I was nice.
These days I can be quite mean which makes me sad.

Yeah man, your douchebaggery is evident even in your smiley pizza avatar.

I joined 6 years ago. I should hope I've changed.

Edit: I was still in high school when I joined this, my god. Since then I've gone to two universities (finished one), lived in New Zealand, worked as a professional photographer, shot a documentary in west africa, completely changed my path in life, accidentally moved to Turkey, started a new career that I'm excited about AND that's reasonably practical (never would have thought), ticked off MANY of the "must do before I die" things and grown up a hell of a lot. Wow that seems like a long time ago.

I've become less hostile & elitist and much more humble about knowing I have better taste in music than anybody else here.

The main reason I joined MB is to find new bands. My iPod consists of sell known bands, but I probably changed to the fact that I am a little but more open on Music Suggestions.

I've learned to tolerate southerners better.

I've learned the Country ain't so bad when douchebags aren't singing it.

I've learned that punk isn't just microphone feedback and drunken rambling.

I've learned that to enjoy radiohead is to be evangelical.

I've learned that "pop" is a term perscribed to bands you don't like (i.e. They are a really good pop band).

I've learned that people only come here to discuss the music they want to discuss. If you're going to change hearts and minds you need to 1 on 1 people.

I've learned that no matter how disciplined the 14 year old, they can't write for the ****ing life of them.

And finally,

I've learned that you can go around have a reputation as an unserious ******* who trades in sarcasm and tom foolery and still people can't take a joke - even when its broadcasted.
