Word. I imagine veggies like brussels sprouts, broccoli, and cauliflower get a lot of hate because those people had bad experiences with them as a kid. The vegetables don't suck, your mom's just a ****ty cook.

**** lima beans though. Aside from them I've never met a vegetable I didn't like.

I'm rather partial to Terri Schiavo myself.

Mushrooms are a god send for vegtable dishes, for risottos and stir fries you really need something that will stand out and provide some interesting texture, for me that's either mushrooms or beans. They also make some mean stocks, especially porcini mushrooms, simmer some dried porcini mushrooms with onions in water for about an hour, strain and use as a base for a sauce with a little cream.

Beetroot is the one vegtable I can't stomach, pureed with apples you can make some really great colours but I just can't stand the taste of them.

It seems like mushrooms are a love it or hate it food, probably to do with the texture. I'm on the love side of the fence. I eat them raw I like em so much.

They're OK, like them fried for breakfast and in omelettes but not a lot else I'd eat them with.

It's the one thing that separates our pizza's. The GF hates the mush, I on the other hand, friggin love mushrooms. Raw, sauteed, stuffed, cooked on a pizza.
