That's a stereotype I've never considered. Are we talking about violent crime, for instance?

I'd always been under the impression of the opposite; friendships are forged on the basis of appearance.

I bring it up because it's an argument I had today. I haven't had many male friends, but I'm confident that those I've had have had no interest in me. That's been my experience and what I'd like to believe.
