I'm just iffy that way. I did find Bjork really hot in the Hunter video despite obvious bald cap I just had to use my imagination there but eh, I consider bald caps a cop out it's like the equivalent of breast implants for me.

Anyway. I kinda freaked out Jack and Urban for admitting I found Gail Porter attractive bald and yes I realise she suffers from alopecia.

I recall her being very traumitized by it when she first started losing her hair and had terrible esteem issues with it for a good while. She chose not to hide it though which I admire greatly and after sporting the look for several years and once most of her hair started growing back she said she now loves being bald and shaves off the hair that grows back, which still leaves bald patches. Once people accept you for who you are it doesn't feel like that much of a loss anymore I guess. I think it goes without saying that I think she looks better as she is.



Anyway. I never understood why some people with alopecia leave their hair as it is with big ugly patches instead of shaving it.

I used to know an old veteran in Germany who worked at the PX as a cashier, and his comb-over was absolutely ridiculous. He literally had like 4 quarter-inch strips of hair combed over an entirely bald head except for above the ears and bottom back. I mean.. there was no purpose being served here. What was he holding on to? Just shave it!! No one is being fooled!
Does the hair hold sentimental value? It can't be keeping your head warm. Is it a fetish??

I will never understand.

I edited that part of my comment so as to not seem like an unfair generalization was being made about alopecia sufferers.

Combovers are just disgusting, either get a wig or wear a hat or shave it off, sheesh.
