Not to mention it being far less troublesome than a cat sharpening its claws on your leather couch, or a dog barking you awake all night.

I guess fish are the perfect "do nothing" pets, along with iguanas, snakes and turtles and all that, but none of those things are as cuddly.

Oh come on! Imagine toilet training the thing, or training it to sleep somewhere rather than your couch. I'd be hell! If you were lucky it wake up and stare at you for a while before humping your leg and falling asleep again.

I have spent far too long thinking about this.

Well, sloths live and sleep in trees... so all you'd need is a branch-like perch of some sort. They stay up there like 90 percent of the time. And they always go to the ground to poop. Never do they poop from the tree. And they don't poop very often, because their metabolism is so slow. So when you find out where they like to poop, that's where the newspaper goes. It can be days before they poop.
And I don't think they hump legs either. I could be wrong though.. still... ever heard of a leg-humping sloth?

Yes, we could breed them to be Tea-Cup-Sloths, like those little annoying Chihuahuas...

A small dog or a cat.

...It's really sad that it actually took me a bit of thought to come up with that.

Toupees are actually kind of cute on chihuahuas and not old men with receding hairlines.
