I actually like the song Dark Horse. But the video is all wrong. If she is supposed to be Aphrodite, it should be Greek themed!

It makes me sound like such a bitch, but whenever someone I sort of tolerate starts going off the deep end with Miley Cyrus/Lil Wayne/insert pointless "artist" here, that little snippet from Steely Dan's "Hey Nineteen" starts swimming through my head ...

"No, we can't dance together.... no, we can't talk at all..."

Of course not. You can't stick your dick into her musical taste, so who cares?

My partner and I bonded through our mutual appreciation of Electric Wizard, as well as other niche metal, and similar taste in music continues to be something we bond through on a regular basis. We talk about who's comin to town, new bands we've discovered, composition, everything.
We try to get eachother to like bands we've claimed to hate, and over the years, it's even happened a few times. We're both really into our music, and even if our preferences aren't identical, they're close enough to be adorable.

I wouldn't say picking a partner based on musical taste is intelligent- as a matter of fact, it's pretty ****in shallow- but if you're really into what you like and often have nobody to go to shows with because your taste is weird, it's a nice bonus. Not to mention car rides are devoid of music control arguments.
