What if it was your daughter? Sister? Mother?

A person's status as a celebrity doesn't excuse stuff like this imo

a few work-related confessions:

whenever someone says (of course, jokingly, light-hearted banterlike) "I love you so much right now" or any sort of variant, I always say "well, so does everyone else ... you'll have to wait in line" and the reactions I get are always 100% priceless.

before I left work today I left a bunch of notes in random places for my coworkers (who were a bit miffed that they were closing without me after the Labor Day sale) that just said "everything will be ok" with a little heart on them.

I have a habit of telling rude customers that they lack proper manners.

Did I say that I excuse any of this? That's why I said I was concerned about the security being so lax because of how many regular people had the potential to be affected.

Just because I looked at them doesn't mean I approve of what happened so you can jump off of that high horse.

Not necessarily but you said Vanilla's comment was a bit of a stretch and I agree with her. I inaccurately inferred too much.

That was the vibe I got from your earlier comments saying it's the price of being a celeb and than saying Vanilla's comment was a bit of a stretch. Apparently, I was wrong.

When I mentioned it being the price of being a celebrity, I was just stating the reality of the situation. Yes it is an awful thing that shouldn't have happened to them but scandals like this have been happening for ages to celebrities.

Can't say I disagree. Being a celebrity unfortunately comes with the price of pretty much everything being open to the public. I was actually just discussing this earlier that even when celebrities die, magazines and articles all over will do what they can to keep bringing it up. Even a few days ago I saw a People magazine for Robin Williams with the subtitle "He could have been saved." I just think that's not allowing someone to Rest in Peace so to speak.

oooooooooooookay. this makes more sense. I was with Dwn there because for a minute it seemed like you were saying it's something you should expect if you're someone famous.

Or that magazine we saw at the grocery tonight that claimed "new evidence" in the case of Sharon Tate's murder. Famous people need to be protected from this nonsense. They're people too. We can't forget that.
