You don't have to be old to be wise. I don't write off your opinion because you're a grumpy old man, I'd like if you did the same for me.

I can give two ****s about someone's opinion on vaccination, there is only one right answer :D. There are obviously a couple of immune disorder exceptions (which are honestly more about the needle than the juice), but I don't assume that everyone is a member of a tiny demographic of the country.

See above.

^Chula, in all fairness, both Frown and I have expressed our opinions on the matter, and you're using arguments against them that makes little to no effect on said opinion. Using age for an argument is the lowest form of argument.

Frownland 08-18-2015 11:49 AM

I stand by what I said Chula. Note that I said there are exceptions but they're far and few in between. I believe you're the one with the stick up your ass because kiddies were brought into it. Turn down your emotive meter, it makes you irrational. :D

You called the dude talking about his children the "worst kind of person" without knowing the whole story. Come on man.

Ask the guy for details before being a dick and putting him and his opinions regarding his children down.

No. These are blanket statements, I don't need to contact someone's HMO before promoting the effectiveness of vaccines :D. I'm sorry if I've offended your paternal sensibilities with my firm opinion :D.

Poor parents' feelings<<<<<<<<<reduced rate of deaths from preventable diseases :D

Assumptions make and ass out of you.

I agree. Had I assumed that her kids all had autoimmune disorder I'd look pretty stupid, wouldn't I? :D

Spelling mistakes make an ass out of you, my friend.

Unbelievable.

Did you both not read where he consulted with a doctor who told him he should probably hold back on vaccines because of his kids' conditions?

Maybe ask him to tell the whole story before being so ****ing judgmental.

I know a girl who has rheumatoid arthritis and Reynaud's disease. They're using steroids and chemotherapy to combat her sickness so she can actually walk, use her hands, dress herself, and do other things that she, at one point, couldn't do.

The chemo is destroying her immune system while effectively destroying the malformed cells that are making her sick; the steroids are lessening the inflammation caused by Reynaud's.

Despite the fact that her immune system is compromised, she still takes her medicine and trusts that a medical professional is doing all they can do to make her well again. Did she still get vaccinated as a child? Yes, of course.

Just because you think your kid is some kind of ~special snowflake~ doesn't mean you have any right to open a bigass can of infectious disease on humanity after we've spent hundreds of years finding medical solutions to these deadly ailments.
