i still don't quite understand whats stopping you though. you can seek a higher plane of understanding. people can't really stop you though they might get in the way. that's just sorta reality. the way i see it yea there are flaws in the system, it's an evolutionary process. but **** is speeding up and has been for some time now. you can romanticize the past but people back then were even more limited. if you think facebook is boring try being a servant in 1700's england or some ****. it's not like reality suddenly required mundane details. **** nowadays we're more sheltered from boredom than any previous generation i can think of.

You do realize that you've never actually experienced 1967 and therefore have no first hand knowledge with which to judge it, don't you? 1967 might suck just as much as 2014.

And I highly doubt anyone was really looking for "a higher plane of existence" back in '67. They were probably just smoking dope and saying hippie **** to get the wannabe hippie chicks to suck their dicks. If the world has taught me anything, it's that nobody is ever really looking for any kind of "enlightenment". And the ones who are probably just need to stop and take their medication.

i'm not quite as cynical but i'd say it's easy to drug yourself into a fake enlightenment. the fact that the movement raged on for a bit, petered off and then most of those mother****ers ended up being the same lazy fat *******s you're making fun of today proves that it was more hype than anything else.

Sometimes I genuinely think there are people who just don't deserve to be alive. It might not be their fault that they are the way they are but it seems like they know they're lousy people and they revel in it. They take pride in how scummy they are. It's not impossible to have vices and retain some sense of character but the people I'm talking about deliberately and proudly decide to be ****ty 'human' beings. And on darker days I think it would give me pleasure if I ever found out such people were rounded up and exterminated like unhygenic or hazardous vermin. I'd even pull the trigger or flip the switch.
