Ive had sex with 7 girls. But Ive been in a relationship for a while now. However, Always been curious how other people feel about asking a girlfriend or boyfriend how many people they've slept with...some people dont feel comfortable talking about it at all, some people dont have a big problem. I wouldnt care if a girlfriend asked me at all.

I agree with you, Freebase...but what I would wonder about a person who has had a lot of partners is this:

(1) Why did they need so many different people to find pleasure?

(2) Why didn't the people they were with want to stay longer with them? And if the person didn't like the people he or she was with, how did it happen that the person kept picking someone he or she didn't really like? I suppose some people just like tasting a lot of different people, like you taste chocolates and throw out the icky tasting ones. My experience is that if a relationship feels right without sex, then it will feel right and even better with sex. Also, I feel sex feels better in a relationship where you really care for the person and vice versa. So, I wouldn't use sex to pick people; instead I'd use relationships and how they feel to decide with whom to have sex.

Anyway, having sex was never my main objective. It is very easy to have sex; it is much harder to find a relationship in which the sex feels good and the relationship feels good. The worst feeling is having sex with someone and feeling lonely or feeling that the sex is distasteful or feels like...nothing. Blech.

I lost my v-card when I was 15 and between then and now I've been with 5 people, only one of which was a relationship. However, I've not been with anyone in nearly two years(!!!!!!).

I've never seen virginity as something that should be coveted like it is with some people, but I personally wish I would've waited a little longer.

I think it is very reasonable and important to share your sexual history with someone you are considering having sex with, not only to learn more about potential risks, but also just to learn about each other.

I'd have felt concerned if a partner didn't want to disclose her or his sexual history...especially since when you have sex with someone it is like having sex with all the people that person has ever had sex with!
