When I went to Cork, everything was too expensive. We almost ran out of money, 6 euro a pint and it pissed it down.

We had a wrestling match in the hotel room, we were that bored.
Other than that - top weekend. :laughing:

If you do, I'd seriously recommend getting out of Dublin for a bit; while there's loads to do here, the countryside really is stunning, you don't seem to get Greenness to the same extent in other countries...

and yeah, I frequently rage at the costs of everything over here, including alcohol. There's a pub near me that does pints for €3.50, but that's the cheapest you'll find anywhere by a long long shot, most places will charge 5.50 or so for a pint of piss.

Hence the name "emerald isle", eh? My parents have been there a couple times and they always say what you said, that the countryside is incredibly green and beautiful.
