Most Missed Poster - Do they have to be back? I'd say Schizotypic just because he was one of the first ones to welcome me and give me recommendations here...then he bailed.

Rad! Someone picked me for most missed. I suppose I could consider coming back... I just can't let this site consume my life.

I think you meant to write, "I admit to BEING jealous of her long, thought-out posts and her undeniable knack for writing."

:D

Heh heh...I'm just giving you a hard time! :p: Thank you for the compliment, Dayvan.

Just a reminder that the deadline for filling in your nominations is 21st December. The voting round will commence on the 22nd.

Why do we need to vote, why not just count the nominations. It's been like that every other year.

If I've voted for someone I think should win I'm not likely to want to change it to someone else just because they're popular with others.

I don't get it.

I asked the same question.

I felt it was fairer this way. Thats the way we did it last year too. Doing it this way means everyone gets ther opportunity to nominate any member they want, ideally not influenced by the nominations of others. If people agree with you then chances are the member you nominated will make the shortlist and if your nomination was ultimately in vain then you still get a chance to vote in the final round.

Its when people are too easily swayed by the nominations of others or change their vote in the final round that it becomes unfair but personally I dont see why anybody would do either of those things.

Often times you forget about certain members. A nomination process says "Here are some people others would vote for."

Yeah, I don't get it either. I've been wondering what the hell the point was for a while now.

Why did nobody bring this up in the last thread then? I put the rules up in that one too.

The way I'm doing it is the way it was done last year.

Yeah, but I remember all the ones before that were just noms counted as votes, no rounds or anything. I don't mind either way really, it's not a big deal. I guess having the whole nomination process might make other members aware of someone who they didn't immediately think of who they might realise they want to vote for...
