Not really , for any other actor maybe

Eccleston is already a name actor , he doesn`t need Dr Who like someone such as Colin Baker who was planning to be in the role years longer than he eventually got. Christopher Eccleston was successful before it & he will be successful after it.

Not at all. He's leaving on a high. He's already a very sought after actor with good reason too. Although I never got to watch Dr Who *weep* I've heard it's not amazing or anything. I think it's a very wise move from Eccleston to leave.

well, I was on MSN this morning and they say that the guy who plays Dr. Who has quit the show because he dosen't wanna be type-cast! Poor baby...better than being a nobody!
But the producers have someone else to take his place...so Don't worry Urban!
We don't get the first episode till next Tuesday here in Canada! But since it is playing there then I though that you guy would like to know..

Yeah but maybe he doesnt want to get typecast... I mean Dr. Who is a HUUUGE thing so being the doctor means you're gonna have that forever. I mean he's gotta do conventions and interviews and **** loads. I think he just doesnt want to have to walk around just being known as the guy who played Dr. Who, and just doing similar roles tothat. Coz he is a good actor.
