Alright, I'm going to go ahead and give submissions an August 1 Deadline. Send the PM's to me - if there's any concern about biased voting I'll abstain. I'll post reminders from time to time.

You can write anything you like be it a short story, a poem or a scene from a play. Anything. The content of the story can be about anything too as long as it's not too offensive and isn't stolen. It is preferred if the piece is less than 4000 words but I'm sure that is plenty.

Once the piece is completed you send it to me via PM. I will then post them in a separate thread but without mentioning names. A poll will be added and after a week of polling the winner will be announced. Anyone can participate in the thread.

I just tried to submit something, but I got this message:

"The text that you have entered is too long (7061 characters). Please shorten it to 5000 characters long."

It was only ~1200 words. Should I send it in two messages?
