I get annoyed when I'm reading a book and I see what I assume is supposed to be pronounced "baby" spelled as "babe". It's not 1642. It's spelled "baby". **** off.

I think we're all agreed that daddy is not an acceptable term of intimate endearment, unless you're talking to your actual father. Other than that it's got to be seen as the ultimate in creepiness....
