That's funny. Have a look at the photography thread :)

They take the pictures of the nicer camera's with even nicer camera's that won't be advertised anywhere ;)

HAHA! That is awesome. I was just looking for a new camera because mine is a crap Canon PowerShot (A410; yeah, it's really cheap) and was thinking I needed a new one before I head out to a concert next month!

The A410 is really a great little camera.
It's just old and slow, but back in the day (and still) it's taking pretty nice pictures.
If you're into messing with photography a bit but still want a compact camera, go for the Powershot SX210IS. If you just want to take pictures and have a camera you can carry easily, go for the Ixus 110IS (in the US that's called the Powershot SD960).
They're both great little camera's. The SX210IS offers a lot more in the way of settings. The lens is a bit better, the screen is a bit better, the zoom is brilliant (14 times is beautiful for concerts) But if it's just a camera to take to gigs, parties and friends (snapshot stuff) Don't bother spending all that money and go for the cheap Ixus 110IS (Powershot SD960). It's really value for money.

Want to go dirt cheap? Canon powershot A495. It's not much, but it's a nice camera for less than 80 dollars. It's fast, it's simple. It just works.

See what suits you. I have an SX200IS and an EOS 30D. I'm a bit spoiled I guess.

And whatever you do, don't throw your old camera away. There's always someone really happy with it, somewhere :).

I will not eat off plastic plates, ever. I don't mind drinking out of plastic cups, but only if they're cold drinks, never warm or hot. I can taste the plastic instead of my drink/food.

I have to eat my food in all equal amounts

I can't eat if my arms are cold, it drives me ****ing crazy

I don't like it when people touch a certain part between my shoulder blades, I go into hyperdefense mode if it's touched by anyone but me (and I can reach it). My boyfriend can if I'm expecting it.

I hate it when the sheet comes off my mattress too

I used to have a weird thing where I didn't touch money for the longest time

oh and I'm extremely EXTREMELY mouldphobic. If something in the fridge is a week near it's expiration date, I'll sniff it, bring it to my mother to sniff, then set it back where I got it. Then I'll take it out again, make someone else taste it, then put it back again and decide for a couple minutes whether to eat it. Then I'll test it, then I'll eat it.

The upside of this is I've never gotten sick from food.

I consider Best Before dates to be suggestions. I recently ate month old yogurt. It was fine.

- When I turn on a TV I flip through the channels in this order: 25, 28, 44, 47, 53, 22, 30, 17, 7, 29, 52, 32, 3, 6, 8. Alot of those I add on to the sequence the more I have watched the channel.

- Constantly have to chew on something. My main victims are the collars of my shirts. Worst habit ever. If you go through my closet pretty much every collar you see will be ruined.

- Constantly pick at the skin on the side of my thumbs, like right around the nail. Another great habit...

- If I'm ever in an awkward social situation I whip out my phone and randomlly scroll through it while putting a quizzical look on my face and muttering nonsense to myself.

- Every time I meet someone I ask their name and automatically never pay attention to what they say. Seriously this happens like every single time.

- When I used to play hockey competitively I had a ridiculous routine going, one that was so long I dont feel like typing it all out.

if something really bad happens to a character no matter what tv show I often change the channel especially if I know it is going to happen.

Same here man, I hate it. Immediately forget what they said. Not because I didnt listen or dont care, I just am terrible with names.

Paedantic Basterd 01-29-2011 01:08 AM

When I'm alone I will cry at just about anything on TV. It's kind of liberating.

.

the wiping out the phone thing is pretty awesome. I might have to try that some time.

I do something similar with meeting someone. When I ask their name and I find out what it is. It goes completely out of mind and out of sight. I continue the conversation with them without knowing their name and hope that I don't get put in the position where I do have to state their name. I try to get them to say their name again through conversation naturally but it doesn't always work out.

You gotta try it. It's a perfect fallback for those situations.

I can't really explain why the name thing happens. I think it's kind of like when you ask someone what's up or how it's going (seriously does anyone ever pay attention to those answers?). Most times when you randomlly meet someone or are introduced to someone you know it's usually just a one-time kind of thing, so maybe it's just like going through the motions like asking someone what's up.
