Haven't seen Mars Attacks, but I remember it at least looking like a totally different movie. When I said "90s popcorn movie", I meant more the summer blockbuster, big budget, action/disaster movies that studios pretty much banked half of their revenue on. Like Armageddon, Twister, and Transformers. Michael Bay-core basically. I consider similar movies like Jurassic Park and Terminator 2 to be the same idea, but actually kind of intelligent, and therefore completely different. And Independence Day could still hang with those movies afaic.

Jeez, the Oscars are on tonight. I know they are only suppose to honor those who passed away in 2016, but man, they gotta do a segment on Paxton.
You know that Kevin Bacon game The Six Degrees of seperation? I bet you could the same thing with Paxton. The guy's worked with everyone in the past 40+ years. |

Bill Paxton played a Nazi in Pat Benatar's video Shadows Of The Night. http://www.aveleyman.com/Gallery/Act...21101-2285.jpg |
Yeah, that's Bill Pullman. Bob. was saying that he wished Paxton would have been the President just so he could see him make that speech, which is why I was talking about it.
