I had no idea Chrissy Amphlett was ill. Usually I'm not surprised by deaths. Also, it had been a long time since an artist I liked died. RIP. I wish her music had gotten more airplay here in the USA.

R.I.P. George Jones

I thought no one had posted this, and was deeply saddened; thank you.

My mom to me, the moment I got home: "Did you hear about the possum?"

As my lab has been wont to maim possums on our land, that was the first thing that sprang to mind, then it clicked. I asked what was wrong with George Jones. She said he'd died.

In my area, he notoriously did a concert on Melody Mountain, now home to Walmart, and didn't receive the promised funds. They spent 20 years paying him back, and he'd book shows in the area and totally no-show until that happened.

He's not from around here, but George Jones is local celebrity. Was VERY sad to hear that he'd passed. Talented legitimate country musician.

Loretta Lynn played the Paramount (music venue in my town) today, so I feel, oddly, it was only fitting.

RIP, Possum.

Chris Kelly from Kris Kross has died. He was only in his early to mid thirties. :(
