Maybe you really can't read.

Damn. She was 76. That's definitely a big loss.

I guess she never lost all that weight.

Rest in peace Aretha, beautiful singer and beautiful music.

I don't really have anything interesting to say about Aretha Franklin. I respect her position in music history and I certainly respect her talent, but most of her music fails to move me. I'm not sure why. I listened to three of her albums a few times, trying to get into her music, but nothing every clicked with me.

Whenever the album finished, I would shrug and think, "yeah, that was pretty good, I guess" but after a while, as her albums continued to fall flat for me, I removed those three albums from rotation.

Having said all that, I admit that "Never Loved a Man" grabs me every time. It's so real, and there is so much strength in her vulnerability.

RIP to the Queen of Soul. One of a kind voice and delivery.

Same here. I used to have 2 or 3 of her albums on my hard drive, listened to them a few times, except for maybe 3 or 4 songs, nothing else on those albums really did much for me.

R.I.P.
