As we talked about, if you want someone's attention in there, try spelling out their nickname.

F.ex "hello Tore and GuitarBizarre" instead of just "hello".

Most IRC clients will notify you when your name is written in chat. Without that notification, it's hard to tell if there's anything going on without checking. I usually leave my IRC client alone, but if I see the icon flash in my taskbar, I know someone's trying to reach me and so I check it.

Hi everyone, this is my first post here! I was googleing forums about rock music then i found this one (some forums i used to be are now ghost towns). Is this the right thread to introduce myself?
