I wonder if you can recommend me any internet resources where music sorted by countries so you can find out what is the best of this certain country has.

Like this site: imdb.com/country , but for music

You can sort music by countries on RYM.

Ah yes. My Google Earth music library. It was super badass but way to much work to organize/maintain. You'd have to be really anal or obsessive conpulsive for it to work.

i'm not sure if there's anything existing like that. i've been to so many music sites for online audio streaming and out of say 10, there's just 1-2 of them that features songs or singers from my country. very bad thing actually cause i won't be able to listen to a Filipino song that i really do like over the internet except from youtube or online Filipino radio station. other than that, it's a mystery where can i find a good streaming site that has both western and eastern music.

i'll closely watch your thread to see any updates.

yeah Conan did start a compilation with the best entries in ech category of music world-wide

i guess it was too ambitious for him

i submitted (what I think) is the best in Canto-Pop and Canto-Rock (Hong Kong Cantonese genres)

But that wasn't particularly for countries, it was more for every single genre.
